ext3 file size limit

one of teams in fab7 has a hp585 G2 machine, installed with redhatES3.8, failed to create big file which file size is  more than 16G.

>tune2fs -l /dev/cxxxx  |grep "Block size"

Block size: 1024

check  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ext3#Size_limits

Block size Max file size Max filesystem size
1KiB 16GiB <2TiB
2KiB 256GiB <4TiB
4KiB 2TiB <8TiB
8KiB[limits 1] 2TiB <16TiB

That is why it can not create file bigger than 16G.
